Tomorrow I'm leaving for IN[FOCUS], a new Event Film Making Seminar being held in Austin, Texas.  I am very excited to learn from and hang out with some of the most talented Videographers in the World.  I will be out of the office the entire week with access to my phone and e-mail, but it may take me a little bit longer to respond then usual.  When I return I'll be posting some new clips on this blog!

I’d like to wish all of my friends, family, clients, and future clients a Happy and Healthy 2010.  When looking forward to the New Year I really prefer to focus on what I accomplished in the year past.  Rather then making my Resolution List based on faults, I prefer to make it based on building upon the positives and accomplishments made so far.  2009 was one of the best years for JPI Films and myself personally.  I’d like to share with you the highlights.

-Opening a Satellite Office in Mineola.  After years of meeting clients out of our office in Wading River we finally opened a meeting space in Mineola right by the LIRR Station, a short ride from Penn Station.  The office has helped us expand our business!  At this point we have more Weddings booked for 2010 then we did in the entirety of 2009, with the prime months of booking 2010 Weddings still to come!

-Awards!  We won a 1^st Place Award in LIVA’s Competition in January and then won another Internationally Recognized Event Video Award in September when we won our first WEVA Creative Excellence Award.  WEVA’s CEA is the most recognized and prestigious Award in the Event Videographer Community.  View our Award Winning Clip!

-The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2010.  JPI Films was voted as one of the Best Wedding Vendors!  We are so thrilled to be included on this list, voted on by actual brides, and are looking forward to seeing our name in the coming Magazine and Best of Weddings Website!  www.theknot.com

-Voted LIVA President.  This is perhaps my proudest accomplishment.  The Long Island Videographers Association is one of the largest and oldest Local Professional Videographer Associations in the country.  LIVA members include some of the best and most artistic Event Film Makers in the Area and World, who come together monthly to discuss ideas and share work for the betterment of the Event Video Community.  I have believed in and loved LIVA since the first meeting I went to so naturally I’m honored and excited about the possibility of leading it into the New Year!  www.liva.org

Thanks to all of my friends and family for making 2009 a success.  Thank you to my brides and grooms who have inspired me to create Masterpiece Wedding Films!  I look forward to a fantastic 2010!

I'm so excited about the launch of our new blog that I'm going live with it even though I still have a few things left to tweak!  In the coming days the About Me and Services Section will be complete and I'll have brand new clips going up!  Many thanks to Aurora who helped me decide on the new look!  I imported over the last few posts, so feel free to check out the clips on here already!  I hope you like our new look and don't be afraid to leave comments!
